Chef Hannah!

Thanks for stopping by Hungry Hannah! I’m Hannah, the owner of this blog, as well as its recipes and photos. I have my Bachelor’s degree in biology and work in healthcare administration during the week, but spend much of my spare time in my kitchen cooking up recipes, browsing food blogs, and trying out new restaurants. I am fortunate to call Boston home, where there is no shortage of new foods or cuisines to try.

Growing up with a true foodie for a dad, and a mom who was frequently cooking us fresh meals, it seemed inevitable that I would eventually become a foodie myself. As a teenager, I developed an interest in photography and bought my first digital SLR camera. Junior year of college, in my first apartment, I began cooking on my own. By senior year of college, I had fallen in love with cooking and sharing my recipes… and this blog was born!

On this blog, I aim to share recipes that are fresh and light without sacrificing flavor. One of my favorite things to do is take a well known recipe, or one that I personally love, and find ways to “healthify” it (as I like to say). My goal is to show others that anyone can learn how to cook, and that there are endless ways to make your meals healthy and delicious! However, I do have a sweet tooth myself, so you can expect to see the occasional dessert recipe from time to time 🙂

I hope you enjoy browsing my blog, and please feel free to say hi or leave feedback at any time!

So I made your Asian Sesame Salmon last night for the family. This was the first time I ever had salmon let alone cook it. My husband thought it was so funny that a 30 something year old never had salmon before, but I’m picky about my fish. It was so good, even my 10 year old daughter finished it wanting more. Will be making it again, it was so easy. Thanks for posting the recipe and cannot wait to try your Mongolian Beef! So glad I found your blog!

    1. Hi Vanessa, thanks for your comment! I’m so glad you and your family enjoyed the salmon. I love Asian-inspired recipes and find that the salmon really shines with a teriyaki-type sauce. Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite meals – hope you enjoy!
